General Contest Rules for CW 34 Contesting
All contest entries must be submitted as directed when broadcast on air or online. Entries may also be submitted by printing you name, age, mailing address, email address, day time phone, evening phone, cell phone on a 3” x 5” post card and mailing it to CW 34 WRBJ TV, 745 N. State St., Jackson, MS 39202). Limit one entry per person, regardless of entry method. More than one entry from any person will void all entries from that person.
Contest Rules:
1. Contest begins( )ends( ). The drawing will be held( ). There will be only 1 winner for the contest.
2. Contest is open to any and all CW 34 viewers 21 years of age or older.
3 Limit 1 entry per household during flight of contest.
4. At time of registration, participants must be willing and able to disclose their name, phone number, birthdate and age for identification purposes. Only entry forms with complete, accurate and legible information will be considered eligible.
5. Winners must sign a release prior to receiving their prize.
6. All prizes unless otherwise specified, must be picked up within 30 days of winning. CW 34 will not notify winners of the time remaining on their prize. It is the responsibility of the winner to claim prize within the 30 days provided.
7. Non-awarded prizes will remain property of the station upon contest end. Disposal of said prizes is at the sole discretion of the station.
8. All major prize(s) will be given away by CW 34. Odds of winning will depend on the number of legally qualified entries.
9. One (1) winner will receive: (Prize) CW 34 may substitute another prize of equal value, in the event of non-availability of any prize.
10. Employees of Roberts Companies and its subsidiary companies including CW 34 WRBJ TV, its advertising agencies, their affiliates, representatives, families, or employees are ineligible to enter contests or win prizes.
11. Winner must have proper identification (valid driver’s license, passport, state ID, military ID) and is required to present ID when claiming prize.
12. CW 34 is not responsible for defective prizes.
13. By entering, participants release and hold harmless WRBJ (TV) as well as its directors, officers or employees of its organizations from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this sweepstakes.
14. All entries become the exclusive property of WRBJ (TV) will not be returned to entrant. If for any reason the contest is not capable of being conducted as planned, including any causes beyond the control of the administrators of the contest, the station reserves the right, at its sole discretion to cancel, modify, suspend or terminate the contest without specific notice to entrants.
15. By submitting an entry form entrants consent to the collection, processing and use of the information in the entry form by the WRBJ(TV) for any purpose it sees fit, including the use of the information for marketing, promotions, advertising by the station or its designated third party at the sole discretion of the station. Winners allow the station the right to use the name, voice, image and likeness for promotional purposes without further compensation.
16. All prizes are non-transferable or exchangeable and void where prohibited by law. NO CASH SUBSTITUTION OF PRIZES ALLOWED.
17. Any and all taxes or additional expenses associated with the awarded prizes are the responsibility of the winner. An Internal Revenue Service form 1099 will be given to the contest winner for prizes valued at $600.00 (six hundred dollars) or greater.
18. In the event that winner chooses not to accept a prize, he or she forfeits all claim to that prize. CW 34 then has the right, at its discretion, to award that prize to a contest runner-up.
19. Contest rules are available for review during regular business hours, 8:30 am-5:30 pm, Monday thru Friday, at the CW 34 WRBJ TV Studio, 745 North State St., Jackson, MS 39202, and posted inside (contest location). 20. The drawing will be conducted by CW 34, and the results of the drawing are final. Entrants agree to abide by the terms of the Official Rules and by the decisions of the judging organization, which are final on all matters pertaining to this contest.
21. WRBJ (TV) or its assigns or agents are not responsible for late, lost, damaged, destroyed or misdirected entries or for miscommunications, misdirected transmissions or any other errors of any kind whether human, mechanical or electronic.
